The whole epic undertaking has been the result of a collaboration with UK based artist / curators Craig Morrison and Joel Cockrill, original founders of the Blinc organisation.

“TDC’s reputation for delivering on highly complex technical projects of this scale means that we confidently expect Blinc to be our most popular attraction. We anticipate the work that TDC has done on Blinc to be a huge success and estimate that over 250,000 people will flood the Riverbank precinct over the course of the 17 nights starting on Friday (27 Feb) to see our massive international digital art exhibition.”
This mass appeal of Blinc’s cutting-edge projections and digital art means that this year’s Adelaide Festival is on track to generate a similar result to the 2014 event’s $64.3 million in total estimated gross expenditure and economic impact to the state of $25.3 million.
TDC used projectors for the façade of Parliament House facing the Festival Centre and several smaller projectors for the King William Street side of Parliament House. TDC has designed the projection system to manage content using Dataton WATCHOUT™ multi-image display and presentation software.
For the Festival Centre, TDC’s system also uses projectors and outputs of Coolux Pandora’s Box by Christie Digital and, on just one façade alone, an astounding total of 21 million pixels are used.
Blinc involves a dozen outdoor locations featuring large-scale projections, building-mapped projects, 3D motion graphics, LED installations, intimate and interactive experiences and a unique 30 watt laser work.
