Field Day

The impressive concept immersed the entire stage in video and provided a very powerful enhancement of the events on stage.

The use of mainly LED products allowed the impressive visual elements to take effect from late morning through full midday sun light into the night. Projection on the entire roof of the Domain stage created an added dimension and a visually stunning effect as darkness fell.

The main stage set-up
Engulfing the main stage were two R16 LED walls on an angle to create an inverted ‘V’. Each wall was 6m x 3m and gave the impression of video content extending out from the DJs. The two walls had a small and a large gap to allow access for the artists and for a back line to be moved easily on and off stage on Mega Deck risers.

Situated in the centre of the ‘V’ was a 10mm pitch LED screen made from Barco i10 iLite panels. Sitting behind the DJ, this screen created the perfect backdrop joining the two outer R16 screens to create one large seamless wall of video.

Above the stage three LED screens hung from the grid downstage to upstage. Angled back on a 10° angle the LED added a creative aspect to the normally dull roof. The transparency also helped showcase the lighting effects when darkness fell.

Fuzzy are well known for their innovative edge and that’s what makes Field Day memorable. As darkness approached Barco FLM 20ks were struck to unveil an array of custom video content across the canopy of The Domain stage. The projection created a visually stunning effect and a Synergix blend was used to cover the entire 65 metre canopy.
